What is Gourmet at home?
Gourmet at home is your “online local delicatessen” offering a wide range of gourmet and every day food. We deliver to your door via our logistic partner DHL or using our own temperature controlled vehicles.
How does it work?
Get registered, choose what you want and place your order. Then your goods will be delivered next working day, although it could take 2-3 working days depending of your location and when you ordered. Our cut off time is 2:00pm for next day deliveries.
Where does Gourmet at home deliver?
We deliver to mainland UK only and do not accept orders that need to be shipped outside of the United Kingdom. All products are subject to availability.
When can I order?
Whenever you want our shop is 24h open.
Personal Details
How do I update my details?
To update your contact details, log in to your account, tap the profile icon in the top right menu, then tap the edit account icon.
How do I sign up for or opt out of marketing communications?
Tap the profile icon in the top right menu, then tap on “Newsletters”. You can subscribe or unsubscribe from our communications. That simple.
Can I have my orders delivered to a different address?
Of course. You can use any address. In your profile, you can also add or remove an address in ‘Address book’.
Ordering
What type of products can I buy?
At Gourmet at home, we sell over 500 products, from Michelin start quality ingredients to every day foods, cheeses, cured meats, extra virgin olive oil, to seafood and preserves.
What’s the minimum spend?
There is no minimum spend.
Are there any delivery charges?
At gourmet at home, we ship all our orders over £65 free of charge. If an order doesn’t reach £65 there is a £7.99 delivery charge.
How many items can I order?
As many as you wish.
What if a product I ordered is out of stock?
At Gourmet at home we only list items that are in stock although it eventually could happen that a product is temporary out of stock and should be shown in our web as “out of stock”.
What if there’s an issue with my order?
Get in touch with our brilliant support team. We’ll endeavor to short the issue out and put a smile back on your face.
Promotions
How do I use a coupon code?
At the checkout, tap ‘Use coupon”, type the coupon code you have and ta-daaaah!
Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept most of cards, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Maestro, JCB, cryptocurrencies are too volatile unfortunately.
How do I add a card to my account?
We do not store your card details. We apologize that you have to type it on every purchase, but currently we consider is better like that.
Can I pay with a card that’s not in my name?
You can pay with credit or debit cards that you can verify correctly.
Do you charge for the packaging?
We don’t charge for preparing and packing your order. When possible, we try to re-use card boxes from our warehouse, we help reducing waste and keep our prices low.
Deliveries
Order Cut-Off Times
To ensure same-day dispatch, please place your order by 2:30pm Monday to Friday. Orders received after this time will be dispatched the following working day.
We do not dispatch frozen, perishable, or high-value perishable goods on Fridays. Orders placed after the Thursday 2:30pm cut-off will be dispatched the following Monday.
Our Delivery Service
We dispatch all orders via APC Overnight or DPD on a next working day tracked service. For remote areas of the UK, we use Evri. All services are fully trackable from dispatch to doorstep.
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive tracking details and an estimated delivery window from the courier. On the day of delivery, you will usually receive a second notification confirming a more precise time slot.

Delivery Timelines
Orders leave us at approximately 5:00pm and are typically delivered the following working day, normally before 5:00pm. Around 99% of deliveries arrive on the selected day.
Please note this is not a guaranteed service. Delays may occur due to courier mis-sorts, traffic, or driver error. By placing an order, you agree to accept delivery up to one working day late.
Packaging & Temperature Control
We use gel ice packs and thermal insulated packaging to keep products cold in transit, with additional cooling during warmer months. Orders should remain chilled until the day after delivery.
Frozen Products
• Frozen items are shipped in insulated packaging, but we cannot guarantee they remain fully frozen.
• Once collected, delivery condition becomes the courier’s responsibility.
• We advise against modifying delivery times as this may affect product quality.
• Most products can be refrozen if still cold on arrival.
• Only order frozen items if you can receive and store them promptly.
Tinned Products
• Minor dents may occur and do not affect product safety.
• Only leaking tins will be eligible for refund or replacement.
• This policy applies to all tinned products.
Signatures, Safe Place & Neighbours
Deliveries may be left in a safe place or with a neighbour if no one is available. If you prefer otherwise, please provide instructions at checkout.
Failed Deliveries & Returns
If delivery fails, the parcel will be returned to us.
• Perishable goods will be destroyed and not refunded.
• Non-perishable goods will be refunded minus a handling fee.
• Orders will not be re-sent due to food safety regulations.
Delivery Address
It is your responsibility to ensure your delivery address is correct at checkout. Please check all details before dispatch, as changes may not be possible once shipped.
